When The Bottles Break

In light of the decision to begin sharing bits of my personal work when it relates to music as a whole, here is another bit from my reel. I opted to shoot the first 16mm music video in my undergrad film department in lieu of my senior vocal recital. I have never regretted it.

  1. Yes. It would’ve felt a little weird had the principle colors been, say, yellow, or any dominant pastels. I’m always impressed with good music videos, inasmuch as they are not just hemmed in my time (the length of the song) or by the song’s content, but also by rhythm itself. An interesting exercise. I wish I knew the first thing about video production.

  2. Definitely, I agree. One of my long-lost loves on the more narrow path to a future in academia, I’m afraid. Although I’ve had an idea to start (very cheaply) filming a couple of my own songs…we’ll see how it pans out.
